Mom's Appointment
We headed out very early to take the train downtown. Mom was in a lot of pain.

We arrived early, and she had a lot of forms to fill out. The waiting room was filling up quickly. I suspect that they take Medicaid because there were some icky people there. I would definitely not want to be Nurse or Doctor. I would be like, "Can you please bathe and come back LATER? I'm sure that my partner would be pleased to assist you." I would rather take care of dogs with ticks! Glad they had hand sanitizer. This is a place that handles injuries to the White Sox and Bulls players.

Dr. An
Mom saw Dr. An. He wasn't one of the doctors mentioned in the article though.

Diagnosis
Dr. An said that mom's main problem is the Osteoperosis and Arthritis, which caused the fractures. He said that she shouldn't do any major lifting or anything, but that she shouldn't be a couch potato either. He referred her to a doctor who specializes in women's health and Osteoperosis. He also gave her some pain killers and another medication for Osteoperosis, which is supposed to assist with her fractures. He said she'd be better in 3-4 weeks. She also has to go for Physical Therapy. He said that movement is good (but you have to do it correctly). He said she did not require surgery. That was awesome news!

Lunch
Mom and I didn't even stop for lunch because she wasn't feeling well. We just picked up something to bring home since dad was already home. Patty said she dropped dad off and he was on the laptop in mom's bedroom when she left.

Mess
We walked into a giant mess. Patty literally dumped dad because all of his stuff was in the kitchen. I can't stand when everything is in the kitchen! I knew that the clean house wouldn't last long!

Nap Time
We were all exhausted and took a late afternoon nap.

Update on Mom
Dad's doing great, but mom's doing worse. She was in more pain after her nap. She said the new pain killers weren't helping at all! Plus, she read the brochure, and decided that she doesn't want to take those. She called Osco, and they told her that she could take a Vicodin too.

Mom's Bed
Mom called John and asked him to take the stilts off of her bed because she can't get in/out of it.

So, what I thought was good news, is a little concerning. Why is mom having so many issues still?

Uncle Al
All good news today! Uncle Al's surgery was a success. The cancer did not spread, and they re-built his bladder.
