Two Choices
So, mom said to me this morning, "you have two choices." I, of course, was like "what are you talking about?" She said that I could 1. Pick up my dad from the hospital tomorrow or 2. Go downtown with her to a Spine specialist.

Hmmm!...Tough choice! Anyone can pick up dad. No offense, but they squeezed mom in after she read what was on her report. It's a good thing that I came across this article in Chicago Magazine while dad was having his surgery. I think you should go to the best of the best. Here's a link to their web site: http://www.rush.edu/rumc/page-1124115592185.html

We have to be on the 6:00 a.m. train (but maybe we should drive).

Visiting Dad
Now, mom is just getting her hair cut this morning and then going to visit dad since she cancelled her other appointment.

Mom said that dad did real well, and that he was even walking with a cane instead of his walker.

Coffee
Mom said she was stopping for coffee for dad on her way home (right after she told me that it's painful to get in/out of the car). I told her that I would go, but she won't listen, and I'm ready to shoot myself! Why would she insist on going when I said that I would, and I have to go to the store anyhow? She just promised up and down that she wouldn't do anything to hurt herself again. I think she has a very short-term memory! AND, dad wouldn't need new coffee if he would have kept it in a container with a lid, but instead, when I opened the cabinet one day, it fell out and grounds were everywhere! Then, mom said she was also going to get him a container to keep it in! No wonder I have no hair! We have 50 million containers, and I just cleaned out the big cabinet. They need to stop buying things that we don't need. I'm getting ready to skip town! This is exactly why I will eat a whole bag of cheese popcorn on the train tomorrow!

He's Coming Home
Dad says he's very happy that he went into Rehab, but he would highly recommend Balmoral. LOL I guess it could be worse (it could have been Winchester House). Patty has to pick him up before 10:00 a.m.

Harley & Daisy are looking forward to him coming home. Harley has been bugging me all night. She's like a little kid when you tell her something in advance.

Uncle Al
On the other hand, we need prayers for Uncle Al who is going in for his surgery tomorrow. XOXOX

Grandma
Grandma keeps calling here tonight about Uncle Al already. What does she think we know? He hasn't even had the surgery yet.

Grandma, Jr.
I was woken up by loud beeping sounds, and a blaring T.V. Then, the phone rang (that was Grandma)! Mom couldn't sleep and was watching T.V. and playing casino games. I guess she doesn't realize that she could turn the sound down. She is so addicted. That's all she wants to do lately. Well, I was going to take her to Puerto Rico, but she ruined it. She's always doing something she's not supposed to, and it's serious. She just won't listen to me. Carole & Mrs. Bitz, you will have to tell her. I told her that it's better not to do something than to end up being paralyzed for the rest of her life.
